The NOVA-2000 generator is a highly efficient power solution specifically designed for multicopters and VTOL aircraft. Weighing just 4 kg, it is significantly lighter than other generators while still delivering an impressive 2000 W output power, making it five times more efficient. The generator provides a continuous power output of 1800 W by utilizing an internal combustion engine that consumes gasoline and drives the generator to produce a stable 48 V output. Additionally, an onboard 12S LiPo battery package is recommended for emergency backup power during quick climbs and maneuvers.
With the NOVA-2000 generator, the aircraft's maximum take-off weight can reach up to 21 kg (depending on your power system), enabling extended flight times of approximately 5 hours. This generator serves as the heart of the GAIA 160 hybrid hexacopter, which holds the world record for crossing a sea bay in just 175 minutes. Equipped with the NOVA hybrid generator, the GAIA 160 Hybrid achieves exceptional flight times thanks to its abundant power supply. Some users have even equipped the M600 with the NOVA-2000 generator, achieving flight times of up to 1 hour with just 2L of gasoline. However, the GAIA 160-Hybrid stands as the most efficient multicopter equipped with the NOVA hybrid generator, offering a remarkable maximum flight time of up to 5 hours.
The NOVA-2000 generator is suitable for multicopters with power requirements below 1800 W, even when accounting for the weight of the 6 kg generator system (including the generator, fuel tank, and 1L of gasoline). Auto gasoline is compatible with this generator. While operating, the generator produces a noise level of approximately 80 dBA, which does not significantly impact communication from a distance of 10 meters. For those who require reduced noise levels, we offer an optional silencer that can bring the noise down to 60 dBA.
Regular maintenance is essential to ensure the NOVA-2000 generator maintains its high performance. We recommend a maintenance cycle of 50 hours, and we provide the necessary accessories for generator maintenance.
