EXO-KER Lite Lightweight Portable Wearable Exoskeleton for Robot Teleoperation, Open-Source Development & Imitation Learning Data Collection

EXO-KER Lite is a lightweight, motorless wearable exoskeleton designed for robot teleoperation and imitation-learning data collection. Its passive dual-arm structure captures 16 channels of joint-angle data and transmits the operator’s movements to robot control systems through WiFi or USB.

Based on a Kinematic Equivalent Replica design, EXO-KER Lite uses 16 modular 15-bit absolute magnetic encoder units to capture bilateral arm movements. Its approximately 1.7 kg foldable structure works with KER Manager and a configurable ROS 2 teleoperation package for calibration, monitoring, firmware management and multi-robot joint mapping.

The kinematically equivalent joint structure enables intuitive 1:1 motion mapping and supports Agility A2, OpenArm 1.0/2.0 and third-party robot integration.
- KER Manager Software
The Windows and Ubuntu desktop software supports calibration, angle monitoring, connection switching, firmware updates and debugging.
- Configurable ROS 2 Package
The supplied teleoperation package supports default robot mappings and config-based integration without modifying the node source code.
